Flexible Funding for the Work That Keeps Community Moving
Behind every effective nonprofit is a foundation of essential operations that make its work possible—staffing, technology, facilities, and administrative systems that often go unseen but are critical to serving the community. Impact Alamance’s Flex Fund was designed to ease the burden of day-to-day operating costs, giving organizations the flexibility to focus on what matters most: their mission-driven work.
In 2025, Impact Alamance invested $100,000 in general operating support for 19 local nonprofit organizations, with funding support from Honda. These grants helped cover core expenses such as staff wages, rent and utilities, insurance, supplies, and professional development—investments that strengthen organizational health and long-term sustainability.
The strong demand for Flex Fund support highlighted how essential unrestricted funding is to the nonprofit sector. Grant recipients were selected for their commitment to community engagement, collaboration, and addressing priorities identified in Alamance County’s Community Health Assessment. Together, these organizations form a diverse network of trusted partners meeting immediate needs while building toward a healthier, more resilient community.
By investing in organizational strength, Impact Alamance advances its mission of partnering and investing to achieve hope, health, and prosperity for everyone in Alamance County. The Flex Fund reflects a belief that lasting change depends on stable, well-supported organizations—and on trusting local leaders to determine what their teams need most to remain steady, adaptive, and ready to serve.
