Guided by Community, Driven by Purpose
As we reflect on 2025, Impact Alamance’s 10th anniversary year, we are grateful for a decade of partnership, progress, and possibility. Impact Alamance was launched with a guiding belief: that meaningful change happens when people come together to improve the communities they share. This year gave us the opportunity to celebrate alongside the partners, grantees, and community members who make this work possible.
Throughout these ten years, Impact Alamance has grown alongside our community while keeping its needs at the center of our work. Our role has never been to drive change alone, but to listen, invest, and connect—amplifying the energy and vision of those working to improve our county. Along the way, we have learned to pivot when needed, respond to emerging challenges, and support solutions shaped by the people who know our community best. The impact of this work is reflected not only in grants and programs, but in stronger relationships, deeper collaboration, and a growing sense of shared purpose.
Our anniversary year also gave us a moment to pause and reflect - a true Sankofa moment. By looking back and learning from the past, we gained greater clarity about the future. That reflection reaffirmed and sharpened our mission, strengthening our focus on building a strong civic culture in Alamance County. We believe, and the evidence continues to show, that civically engaged communities are healthier communities. When people feel connected, informed, and empowered to participate, they create environments where collaborative solutions can take root and every voice has the opportunity to contribute.
This belief continues to guide our investments. Initiatives like For Alamance, the Active Alamance mobile app, and The Alamance Fabric are designed to bring people together, strengthen connections across our county, and help residents stay informed and engaged. Each of these efforts helps expand the grid of resources that supports a thriving community where everyone has the opportunity to belong and contribute.
Lasting change starts from within a community, and our commitment remains to empower residents to participate in shaping solutions for the challenges we share. We are grateful to the many partners, leaders, and residents who make this work possible. We are proud of what has been built in partnership with so many across Alamance County. Together, we look forward to building an even healthier, smarter, and stronger Alamance County in the years ahead.
